Laura Ledbetter

Laura works best with solo travelers, couples, families, and multi-generational groups who are excited to travel but may feel overwhelmed by all the choices and details that come with it. Her travelers appreciate having someone they can turn to for guidance, honest recommendations, and help making sense of all the options. From theme park vacations and cruises to all-inclusive getaways, Alaska adventures, and European travel, Laura enjoys working with people who want their trip to reflect their own interests, priorities, pace, and budget. They aren’t looking for a one-size-fits-all itinerary. They want an experience that feels right for them.

What makes Laura unique as a travel advisor is the experience she brings from 28 years as an educator. Teaching strengthened her patience, adaptability, communication skills, and ability to listen, understand different needs, and find solutions when plans do not go exactly as expected. She combines those skills with firsthand travel experience, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, ocean cruising, and travel to Europe, with a special connection to Germany. As a former Walt Disney World Cast Member, Laura also brings a unique perspective and an in-depth understanding of Disney destinations to the vacations she plans. Accessibility is also an important part of Laura’s approach to travel planning. For nearly 25 years, she has volunteered as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization, giving her firsthand experience traveling with service dogs in training and a greater understanding of how thoughtful preparation can make travel more comfortable and accessible. She also works with travelers who may need additional planning for mobility and wheelchair access, dietary restrictions and food allergies, sensory needs and neurodivergence, medical needs and equipment, or other accessibility considerations. Laura brings all of these experiences together to provide personalized, practical, and thoughtful recommendations based on each client’s individual needs and travel style. Her goal is not simply to plan a vacation. It is to help each traveler feel prepared, supported, and confident so they can focus less on the details and more on enjoying the experience and making memories.

What excites Laura most is helping her clients create truly unforgettable vacations, whether that means magical days at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando Resort, or Universal Studios Hollywood, an ocean or river cruise, an Alaska adventure, a relaxing beach getaway, or something completely different. Laura loves taking the stress out of planning so families and friends can focus on enjoying their time together. She especially loves adding the thoughtful, personal touches that make each vacation feel uniquely theirs. Laura gets especially excited about combining her firsthand travel experience with her attention to detail to create itineraries that fit each traveler’s style, pace, priorities, and budget. Seeing the excitement when a vacation comes together and knowing she played a part in creating those memories is what makes being a travel advisor so rewarding for her.

Laura believes accessibility needs should be part of the vacation conversation from the very beginning. For theme park vacations, Laura can help clients understand available accessibility resources and processes including Disability Access Service, but she does not determine eligibility or arrange this service on a client’s behalf. Instead, she helps travelers understand the process, locate available resources and prepare before they arrive. She can also help with practical details such as mobility and wheelchair accessibility, scooter rentals, locating First Aid Centers for needs such as refrigerated medication, and identifying dining options for food allergies and vegan or vegetarian diets. Laura’s goal is not to assume what a traveler needs, but to listen first and then ask questions and help them understand the resources available so they can feel more prepared and confident about their vacation.

For Laura, travel has always been about more than simply visiting a new place. It’s about experiencing what makes each destination special, from the fun and excitement of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal parks to cruising the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and discovering the history, culture, and beauty of Europe. Some of Laura’s most memorable travel experiences have been in Germany, where she traveled by train, plane, and bus through cities including Frankfurt, Berlin, Rothenburg, Munich, and Heidelberg. Her travels took her from the beauty of Neuschwanstein Castle to the history of a divided Berlin and the deeply moving experience of visiting Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Those experiences showed her at a young age that travel can be joyful and exciting, but it can also be meaningful, educational, and deeply personal. Each journey has shaped the way Laura sees travel and the experiences she wants to help create for others. Whether it’s the excitement of a theme park, the relaxation of a cruise, or the opportunity to experience another country and culture, she believes some of the best memories come from truly experiencing a destination rather than simply visiting it.
